Dr. Christopher S. Tolliver

Founder & CEO, ChangED Leadership LLC

With nearly two decades of experience in school transformation, leadership development, and improving student outcomes, I have dedicated my career to helping educational leaders build the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to create lasting change. As the Founder and CEO of ChangED Leadership LLC, I support principals, assistant principals, central office leaders, and aspiring administrators in leading effectively and making a meaningful impact in their schools and districts. 

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supervising and supporting more than 20 schools, guiding several out of low-performing status, including those designated for federal and state improvement programs. My leadership has contributed to measurable gains in student achievement, improved school performance ratings, and innovative leadership development initiatives. Having served as a Principal Supervisor, School Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher, I bring a data-driven, results-oriented approach to leadership that prioritizes student success and instructional excellence.

Beyond my direct work with schools, I have played a key role in shaping district-wide policies, leadership succession planning, and strategic staffing initiatives. As a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Council and various district task forces, I have helped develop programs that strengthen leadership pipelines and enhance instructional practices. My expertise lies in instructional leadership, data-driven decision-making, and building strong school leadership teams.

At ChangED Leadership LLC, I am committed to equipping educational leaders with the knowledge, mindset, and tools to create high-performing schools. I believe leadership isn’t just about managing schools—it’s about transforming them. My goal is to help school and district leaders implement best practices, navigate challenges, and drive meaningful, sustainable improvement.

Beyond my professional work, I am also deeply committed to my role as a parent. I understand firsthand the importance of strong schools and great leadership in shaping a child’s future. This personal connection to education fuels my passion for ensuring that every student has access to an excellent learning experience led by empowered and effective school leaders. 

I hold a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from High Point University, as well as a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Concord University.
